French Quarter

Founded in 1718, the true heart of New Orleans is the famously unique Vieux Carre, otherwise known as the French Quarter. Situated on a bend in the Mississippi River, the original settlement and oldest neighborhood in New Orleans, and one of the oldest in America, blends Spanish, French, Creole and American architecture together in an idyllic bewitching setting. Residents and tourists alike enjoy the iconic balconies and courtyards sprinkled throughout the area.
